ジョージア Imereti, Guria, Adjara
Ideal with seafood, light poultry, and vegetarian dishes. Its balanced acidity pairs well with Georgian classics like pkhali, khachapuri, or grilled trout, while amber versions suit roasted chicken and aged cheese.
Tsolikouri is an indigenous white grape variety from western Georgia, primarily cultivated in the Imereti region and also found in Guria and Samegrelo. Once the preferred wine of Georgian nobility, Tsolikouri is prized for its balance, freshness, and gentle aromatics. It is one of Georgia’s most important white varieties and serves as a key base for both still and sparkling wines.
  • Appearance: Tsolikouri wines are typically light straw to golden in color, gaining amber tones when made in traditional qvevri. Its clarity and brightness reflect its naturally clean profile.
  • Aromas & Flavors: Expect subtle aromas of citrus, green apple, quince, and pear, layered with floral and honeyed notes. Qvevri or oak-aged versions introduce richer tones of dried fruit, nuts, and herbal spice.
  • Style & Structure: Medium-bodied with refreshing acidity and smooth texture. In stainless steel, Tsolikouri is crisp and mineral-driven, while qvevri styles show fuller body, tannic finesse, and greater complexity. It also performs well in sparkling and semi-dry formats.
  • Character: Tsolikouri captures the essence of western Georgian winemaking—fresh, harmonious, and quietly expressive. It offers both delicacy and depth, making it a timeless representative of Georgia’s white wine tradition.
